Lita Lee, Ph.D. is a chemist, enzyme therapist, nutritionist, author and lecturer and has been in private practice since 1984. Her clients span the globe from the United States, Canada, Mexico, the Bahamas, Israel, England, Turkey, France, Ireland, Japan, South Africa, the Philippines and Australia. People find out about Dr. Lee from her lectures, TV and radio shows plus her books, articles and newsletters as well as the Internet. Dr. Lee has an office in Portland, Oregon.Dr. Lee received a doctorate in chemistry in 1967 from the University of Colorado in Boulder, and spent the early years of her career as a research chemist at SRI International in Menlo Park, California. Her interest in nutrition, environmental health and natural organic foods led her from the chemistry laboratory into clinical practice in 1984.Dr. Lee's strong scientific background qualifies her work as an enzyme therapist, particularly her specialty of developing nutritional protocols for balancing body chemistry, with a focus on enzyme nutrition, hormonal balancing, diet and protection from environmental toxins. With a chemist's understanding of the negative health effects of our increasingly polluted environment, Dr. Lee has undertaken the mission of informing the public on the dangers of toxins and radiation and providing guidance for reducing or eliminating exposure. With this in mind, she authored the Radiation Protection Manual, and from 1991 to 1994, published Earthletter, a quarterly newsletter giving information on the latest developments in the fields of environmental health and radiation protection, including political issues involving nutrition, medicine, and the environment. In 1987, Dr. Lee received certification as an enzyme therapist from Dr. Howard Loomis of Madison, Wisconsin and has been doing this work ever since. It is an open-ended, cutting-edge field with continuous new and exciting developments. In 1994, Dr. Lee became federally licensed by CLIA to perform the Loomis 24-hour urinalysis. In 1998, Dr. Lee was trained by Sharry Edwards to do research in BioAcoustics and has participated in this research since that time. She uses her background and training in chemistry and enzyme therapy as a research tool. In October 1998, Future Medicine published Dr. Lee's book, The Enzyme Cure, which covers 11 years of research and clinical experience in plant enzyme therapy and presents 50 different case histories covering 36 different health conditions linked to enzyme deficiencies. This book also covers Dr. Lee's work on hormonal balancing and environmental health.
